Silke Verbruggen (°1992) graduated as a ‘Master of Science in Engineering: Architecture (Architectural Design and Construction Techniques)’ in 2017 at the University of Ghent with a master thesis on window opening behaviour in a carbon-neutral housing project. She is working at the research group ‘Building Physics, Construction and Climate Control’ as a PhD-student since October 2017. She is one of the five PhD-students that work on the FWO-SBO-project: “Next generation building energy assessment methods towards a carbon-neutral building stock (NEPBC)” which focusses on improving the existing EPB-calculation and simulation methods. Her PhD specifically is about the modelling of occupant behaviour in residential buildings.
